Amateur photographer David Elder claims a “solid black object” floating the lake’s surface caused the sudden wave.
David, 50, was focusing a swan Fort Augustus the south-west end when he spotted the “creature”. David, East Kilbride, said: “I caught site of a black area of water 15ft long which developed a kind of bow wave. I am convinced this was caused a solid black object under the water. The water was very still the time and there was no other activity the water.”
